Q-CON aerated concrete : better than natural stone
Q-CON AAC is autoclaved aerated concrete, a revolutionary material that offers a unique combination of strength, low density, thermal insulation, fire resistance and unprecedented buildability. Q-CON aerated concrete consists of the same raw materials as natural stone but has these significant advantages :
• Q-CON aerated concrete is made of quartz sand, lime,  cement and water – raw materials that are readily naturally available
• the patented production process uses relatively little energy as Q-CON aerated concrete is steam cured at only 180 C
• During the production process a natural element – air – quintuples the volume. 5 cubic meters of construction material are produced from 1 cubic metre of  raw materials. Resources can hardly be used more sparingly.
• Million of air cells, entrained in Q-CON aerated concrete, give this construction material its exceptional physical characteristics and its combination of properties that make it superior to any natural stone.

Rapid on site construction
The product’s light weight, easy workability and total building system approach results in the product being more quickly installed compared to conventional building materials.

Q-CON AAC can be sawn, drilled, worked and machined using normal wood working tools.

Dimensional accuracy
The patented manufacturing process ensures that Q-CON blocks and panels are always produced true to size as they leave the factory. This results in less on site trimming and reduces the quantities of mortar and finishing materials required.

Fire resistant
Q-CON AAC is inorganic and totally incombustible. The product is particularly suited to fire rated applications such as fire doors and walls, structural steel, ventilation shafts and lift wells.

Energy saving
The entrained air gives Q-CON AAC excellent thermal insulation properties. This means a cooler interior in summer and a warmer one in winter – without use of supplementary insulation.

Excellent Acoustic Barrier
Q-CON AAC can be used as an effective sound barrier to reduce external noise entering a building. It will also considerably reduce noise between rooms and offices.

Long life
Q-CON ACC is not affected by harsh environmental conditions, it will remain stable and will not degrade.
